EDC in ATS-34?

Hi, I had a chance yesterday to handle the new EDC at my local shop and I must say I am impressed! The guys who work there though were pretty adamant that the blade steel was ATS-34 which contradicts everything I am seeing online (420c standard and 154CM for us BF folks). Was there a run made using ATS-34 or are they just mistaken?
 
It may be because of the box it was in.

I say this, because the box my EDC just showed up in was marked "ATS-34" on the outside of it. Perhaps his had a box similar to mine?

I believe, that all the EDC's are 420HC except the special run for 1SKS which is 154CM (the American version of ATS-34). The CUDA logo does have ATS-34 on it although I think that is being dropped when new packaging gets ordered at Camillus. Will, correct me if I'm wrong.

We found out at the last minute that the boxes we planned on using for the standard EDC's [420HC] were marked with the old CUDA logo, which had "ATS-34" on the cover. This is being changed, but we didn't wnat to hold up shipment.

We have only made the EDC in standard blade configuration [420HC] and the special run for 1sks.com [Bladeforums] in 154cm. There have been NO ATS-34 EDC's.

Whew! Glad I checked here first. I almost bid on an EDC which was advertised as being ATS-34. I didn't THINK that sounded right...

Speaking of confusion...was a order of the plain edged 154cm versions misplaced recently? I just purchased three and hope to be gettting them by Saturday.
