This is an EDC in 5/32" CPM154 with a working hand finish, handled with stabilized amboyna burl, red liners, and corby's. It has a 3.5" cutting edge, and is 7.75" OAL with a 1.25" tall blade at it's tallest point. No tapered tang on this one, but it's drilled for balance. The custom sheath is also my own work with a spring clip for carry in any type of clothing with or without a belt, and it's hand stitched and lightly hand boned to the knife for a very secure and snug fit.

This is the first one I've finished in months due to very limited shop time, though I have a number in progress that I can hopefully get some work done on this winter when I'm not teaching.

As always, any comments, good and bad are more than welcome. Thanks for looking!!

Man there is alot of talent here. That's a beauty! Who did the heat treat if you don't mind me asking.

Sykes, I do my own heat treating. This one was wrapped in a SS foil packet, heated in an Evenheat oven, quenched in aluminum plates, cryo'd in LN, and tempered 3x2hrs. The RC after temper was right at my target of 59.

Thanks for all of the comments everyone. I do really appreciate them.

Andrew, the kiddo is still cooking for another couple of months, but he should be here in February. Right now it's been mostly my career keeping me busy, but that's a good thing as I love what I do.

This one went to it's temporary owner last week (he ordered it as a gift...it's the 4th he's purchased from me...a great customer). Hope the permanent owner is pleased with it. You know, after all the EDC's I've made with all of the exhibition grade ironwood and other prime woods I've used, I have yet to actually make one for myself to keep. Well, I just got some great looking ironwood scales in from Mark (Burl Source), and I think one of these sets is going to go on a keeper. Haha...if that actually happens, it will be only the second knife I've kept since I started selling them. :D Ehh...I take that back. I did keep the first one I forged out. I didn't like how the handle turned out, so it is now my shop beater knife. It's actually this blade:

Hamon turned out a little low anyway. It's W2, and it cuts like the dickens.

Another great looking knife Nathan. I have always admired the clean lines and understated beauty of your knives.
