A lot of us head out out the door in the morning with a knife on us, some of us more than one. I'm curious to hear from my fellow knife nuts what your knife combos are and your criteria for picking them? Folder/fixed blade, nice knife and a beater, big and small etc. I've been carrying my zt 0560bw and my paramilitary II as a combo lately which seems to cover all my needs nicely.

I've been carrying a Vic Farmer, a Stockman, and a PM2. I like the Farmer for the tools. The Stockman handles most of my cutting tasks but the PM2 is there just in case.

I carry a full size griptilian with partially serrated sheepsfoot blade. I also carry a dragonfly.

The dragonfly is for boxes, packaging, and less "offensive" to non-knife people.
The griptilian is for most anything else.

I've been carrying an Umnumzaan or Large Sebenza 21 Insingo (my latest acquisition) lately, along with a Vic Cadet. Covers all my needs and then some.

Leatherman rebar and a pm2. I originally got the leatherman for the screwdrivers and pliers, but I'm finding more and more uses for it everyday.

My go-to combo, provided I'm wearing cargo pants with the tech pocket on the right leg, is my BK9 on my belt, and my BK14 clipped to said tech pocket. If I'm wearing a different style of pants then I adapt accordingly.

Victorinox soldier or farmer with a bigger Spyderco like the Southard or Military. On hikes the Victorinox is combined with an Esee 3/4/5 depending on my mood.

Gotta love the tech pocket...main reason why I can get away with not using pocket clips.

I usually carry the Emerson Super CQC-7 with the Leatherman Wave. It's perfection for me.

I always have my trusty Benchmade 530 around. It rides in my jeans pocket.
Because I like the 530 so much, I have another one in my back pocket. This one is not to be used; it is strictly for admiration purposes.
Since I have heard that fixed blades are more reliable in a stressful situation, I also have a Fallkniven F1 in a sheath.
I've also heard that variety is the spice of life. Therefore I also take a Microtech Kestrel with me because it has a liner lock and a hawkbill blade. I won't be caught dead with an insufficiently spicy life.
Riding in the small of my back is a Benchmade 970ST. I have yet to encounter a land mine but it gives me peace of mind knowing that I could safely disarm one with it if I did.
In this day and age you never know when you'll have to randomly baton a tree stump. So I have a Kabar BK2 in my inner waistband as well - it's the only one that can stand up to that kind of use.
You also never know when you'll have to shave some arm hair off for no reason at all. My CKRT minimalist takes care of the arm hair and, worn on the neck, is an impressive piece of jewelry that has the ladies swooning.
And for actual cutting, I pull out my DeWalt razor blade holder because my knives are just too nice to be used for that.

I always have a Leatherman Wingman in my back pocket, but run through a rotation of EDC knives. It's usually one of the following:

Kershaw One Ton
Kershaw Cryo
Kershaw Vapor III
Leatherman Crater
Gerber Armor
5.11 Investigator

Generally speaking, I do the opposite of many people in terms of EDC, deliberately picking a knife with an uncoated (in other words, not black) pocket clip so that it's plainly visible along with the Wingman. I also tend to avoid assisted opening knives at the office. I especially like the Vapor III for its overall tool-like appearance and low profile, but will go with the Wingman/Crater combo if I really want to be inoffensive.

Lots of good combos. Up until recently I had the knife multi tool combo as well. I recently moved and had to pull an all nighter to finish the packing. Unfortunately I left my leatherman cx on a counter and I think it must of took a walk with one of the movers as I have literally ripped apart the new and old house, as well as all my boxes looking for it with no joy. Guess it's time to suck it up and go buy a new one.

I, too, tend to carry a small "people" knife and a larger "just in case" knife. I also have a Leatherman Skeletool clipped to my left pocket because TOOLS ARE USEFUL.

Today's people knife is a Case mini toothpick. It's really a pretty knife! My backpocket knife is a Kershaw Cryo today (yesterday it was a Kershaw Tactical Speed Bump).

Like several other people here (and you know who you are), I have a bunch of knives that I swap out because I like knives.

I carry these 2:

Why? I like them both, and have a 3" blade restriction at work. I don't carry a Leatherman or sak because I have a toolkit in my backpack full of actual tools, and once I make it to work I have access to about a million bucks worth of actual tools.

Works for me.

I carry smaller, multipurpose tools since I don't have a daily need for any serious cutting. My daily pocket contents are typically: Victorinox Alox Cadet, Boker KeyCom, Leatherman Squirt P4, and a Buck 303 Cadet (3-blade small stockman).

There's some overlap there for sure, but each has tools and roles that are not completely replaced by the others. For instance, the Boker Keycom has a pocket clip and is very small, so I use it as a dangler for a small flashlight.

I don't count the blade on the LM Squirt since I rarely use it.

Today, I am all SAK. I left the medium stockman behind, thinking that the 5 various sized blades between my 3 SAKs are all I could need. Big-SOLO, Med.-Exploer, and Little-Pocket Pal. That Buck's sheepsfoot is the hard-one to replace, however.
