EDC Knife ... for December 2012...

Hello all,

I was thinking what Buck knife did everyone use for there EDC (every day carry) knife for the month of December 2012...
I think i'll ask this question at the end of every month to see who is useing a different Buck Knife... Plus it's gives us all a chance
to use a Buck Knife we might not think we even like or just always wanted to try one of the knives in are collection...
Who knows, we may end up liking it or not liking it... Let us all know if you liked or didn't like the Buck you used for December 2012...

Here's my EDC knife for December 2012... I'm a little late on this one... I've been sick over the holidays...
Anyway, this month I used one of my 560s, nice and lite... What a great knife to used and have... :thumbup:

My work knife was actually the same buck 560 but shhh dont tell the police

I carried a 501 in a belt pouch and a 371 in the pocket each day of December. The 501 was great. It tackled everything with ease. It's a much lighter belt knife and I didn't notice it at all. I easily dressed out a squirrel while hunting. This one will be back on the belt in the future.

The 371 was a different story. It had no snap at all. I don't care for the wooden scales, just a personal observation. It wasn't very sharp new out of the box. Off to the sharpmaster first thing.
It did ok, but just didn't have the feel of a 301. I carried it in my pocket all month, but could not wait for January honestly.

January has the 307 in the pocket and a 112 on the belt. The 112 is really nice so far.

I've gotten in the habit of carrying a small fixed blade lately, usually riding in my side leg pocket of my jeans. The 113 has been a pretty regular companion this past month or so. I really like this blade shape a lot.

I also carry this one in a back pocket "wallet" type sheath when I,m wearing my other jeans without the side leg pocket.

Carried the 296 Tempest nearly the entire month. This thread has prompted me to do a change up(not a bad thing). Looking forward to posting a big boy next month while jeans are still the lower clothing of preference.

So how did you like it... Did it do everything you wanted it to do... Mine did... The 560 and the 186 are great knives...

I really like using my 501... I used a 373 and liked it... But I miss the lockback knives...
I'm using a 301 this month... I think, that's the model #, no number on the blade)... So far I like it... It's old and used... Like me... LOL...

Thanks ITE. I can't say enough good stuff about this knife. It is a great all around blade, the grind is nice and high so it excels at slicing, good for light food prep, and the angle of the handle gives great leverage for hard cuts. I love it

I check this thread out every once and a while. I just can't seem to leave my sambar stag 501 at home, I put a different one (usually a sibling) in my pocket for a day or so here and there but that's it.

I hear you st8yd, I would love to have a 501 Stag... I have a hard time leaving my 422 Bucklite at home... But it's fun to try other knives out... The ones I like I will keep and the ones that really don't like, I will sell someday... Why keep them... I'm to where I want to just keep knives that I really like... Like Bucklites, 110s, 112s, 501s, 500s, 560s, 186s, 184s, 124, 102s, 106s, 119s, anything with stag handles, man I like everything, I guess...

Lol, ya just because I don't carry it doesn't mean I don't like it. ;-)
I'm a little traditional and even though I really like the feel and light weight of the 444 and 442, I'm just not sure I want to be caught carrying a plastic knife.
