So I have been doing quite a bit of research into lights, I have an E01 on my keychain and have been wanting something more substantial for a while now. I have basically decided on the Inforce 6VX but was hoping I could get your guys' knowledgeable input before pulling the trigger. Things I like about the Inforce: Size and Profile, Simple two output mode (I love that it can be switched from low/high to high/low and that strobe can be disabled). Is there anybody here experienced with this light who can share there $.02 with me? What I am really looking for is reinforcement or horror stories, also if you have a recommendation for an alternative please make it! My only real requirements are that it be <$100 and that it be small enough for EDC pocket carry.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Consider the Quark Mini lineup. I have a zillion lights, and the Mini 123 has been the only thing on my belt for a long time - though it would work fine with pocket carry. Just something to consider.

If you just want more power, the 4sevens Quark X AA does that nicely. 280 OTF lumens and a simple clicky operation. Loosen the head for the low modes and you get Max and Strobe with the head tightened. Great deal for $69.

I also like the 4sevens Preon as it offers an even smaller package running on 2 AAA batteries, though less of a tactical UI given that it starts off low and progresses higher. Still lit up the parking lot enough to see things. A steal at $45(or $65 for the titanium version).

I've been carrying an Olight i1 EOS lately. It has a great runtime on low and is really bright on high for a single cell light. There's no strobe function though if that's important to you. I personally like the simple low/med/high interface. I also have the i3 that I posted about in this thread. The AAA battery gives it a slimmer profile, but it comes at the cost of the performance that the CR123 provides.

I have a Maratac, which is smaller than the EO1.
I also have a 4 Sevens Mini Quark 123 and a Quark 123²

Of them all, the Maratac is with me most often. The others have their uses, but the Maratac is so much easier to EDC because of its size.

I EDC Pak-Lite flashlight. It isn't fancy or powerful, but I just love it. Since my camping trip this fall I just can't part with it.

I don't have as much of a basis for comparison as others, most likely.
But I do like my AAA and AA Maratacs, especially the AA.
You can flip the clip on them, and you have a cap bill light.

I keep an iTP A3 EOS Upgraded on my keys. I really like it. It has three modes: low (1.5 lumens), medium (18 lumens) and high (80 lumens). I use it just about every day.

I have an LD10 (Fenix) in my pocket daily. I'm in too many out of the way places to use anything other than AA powered lights - I'd get some funny looks if I asked a store owner for a CR123 some of the places I go!
