Help me out.

Get a Z2 if you intend using it in conjunction with a firearm.

The other 2 come with crennelated strike bezels, which is fine if you require it. They can be a pain to carry in your pocket as the bezel can dig in and make it uncomfortable.

If you just require a general incan EDC light from Surefire, consider the normal 6P, E2E or G2 (good budget option).

For LED, the L1 or E1B Backup (both compact with 2 stage output).

i have 6P, E2E, g2, g3, a m6, and (e1 outdoors man?)

just looking for something new. :D

You have pretty much covered Surefires incan range. The 6P Defender and E2D won't do much for you unless you really want a strike bezel. If so, I would go with the E2D. Easier to carry and with tougher HAIII finish.

How about taking a look at Surefires newer LED range. As mentioned before, the new L1 and E1B, but also the older L4 if you want a wall of light.

My question is why not consider LED? More power, better battery life, less money probably.

Either wait until Surefire releases all 3 of those in LED format or get one and the P60L drop-in that they now sell.

I would stay away from the 2 'Defender' lights... they're gimmicky, the strike bezels poke you while clipped to your pocket, and I doubt you'll be bashing in someone's skull with either of those anytime soon.

The CombatLight series Surefire puts out are about the most ergonomic and user-friendly tactical lights out there. The Z2 is awesome, but for a little more $$$ you can get the C2, which is basically a beefed-up Z2 (thicker aluminum walls, pocket clip, and Hard Anodized compared to the Z2).

I'm with Dave here, take a look at the E1B. Its a sweet little LED Surefire. I like the high mode first.

Fenix TK10 is also another LED to look at. :D

Look at the new G2L and 6PL. They have way more power and battery life than the incandescent versions: 80 lumens instead of 65 and 11 or 12 hours instead of one hour.

Look to other styles like the Fenix lights, also.

Otherwise, all you're doing is buying lights that only duplicate what you've already got lots of.

A vote here for the Fenix p2d Q5 cree, I EDC one every day even wearing a suit and hardly notice its there. It blew me away when I first got it, the size and birghtness, and the flexibility. I was used to EDCing a surefire 6P, this thing is half the size, puts out probably twice the light on high, and in low power mode it lasts for 30 hours, and all on a single CR123A. And it cost a fraction of the SF. I like it that much I've just ordered 2 more as gifts actually!

i would get an L4 surefire w/the LED myself.

for edc the E series surefires are a lot easier to carry vs the larger Z series, about as bright too.
