I have been thinking about getting a lmf but i was wondering if it could use a tek lok or more so the blade tech klip (witch fits on the same way as a tek lok does but is a regular clip). I have searched but cant find this out and i dont know how to tell. If not can someone tell me a similar knife that would be?

Update : Alright so what kind of kinfe is similar to this that would be or would come with a clip on a sheath, and for all of you who say ask my cousin, i have never even seen him use a fixed blade.
I always seen him pound the hell out of folders in the yard and hunting when he would occasionally go was always using a 110. Never have i seen him use one. He one time bought a cold steel pendleton lite and sent it back the next day. I remember him talking about them but he always said he didn't see the point.

The LMF is Molle compatible, you would need to modify the sheath or get a custom Kydex sheath made to accomodate the Tek Lok style clip.

Alright thanks, i want something to carry on the inside of the waist band, witch means itll have to have some sort of clip.

IWB carry sounds like something you might ask your cousin about...I'm sure he's given it some thought. Seems like you two both prefer IWB carry!

Itd have to be perfect for it to be fixed, i never carry fixed blades, tried a eskabar and a couple others and they always get thrown in the drawer and never see day light again.

mostly because i wear sweat pants or shorts every day so no where for a belt. And i dont like stuff hanging off my side i like it clipped inside a pocket, sometimes inside waist band.

I would go for a taco style sheath, with a leather belt strap on the outside. It would sit inside the waistband, with a single leather that would allow your belt to slide through, keeping it secure.

What happened with the smaller fixed blade for camping/hunting/fishing?

I have decided i want to carry a fixed blade along with my skyline also so i want it to be more carry-able, just pure hunting knife it wouldn't matter but to carry is different, i still want to use it for that.

So, like your "cousin," whenever the slightest thought about knives enters your head....you open a new thread.

I think it's worth reminding you that your "cousin" got banned repeatedly for the exact same thing and was only let back in on the condition that he wouldn't do it again.

Good thing you are not him, right!?!

Back to your IWB carry question....for a guy that 8 days ago said :

I am starting to get into liking knives...I rarely use my knife as it is. ... If i do use it its usually for just opening mail or some strings off of clothes. I occasionally cut up food if I get a snack while I'm out and it needs to be cut. ... ... Iv used a lockback before and it was uncomfortable to unlock, the lock on my SOG isn't too bad to use for me, I have never handled much more besides that though.

Now, all of a sudden you want something that isn't just a pure hunting knife and you know that you prefer IWB carry. Quite the 8 day learning curve. Impressive!

Maybe you could tell us more about why you prefer IWB and what you expect to do with that LMF...and we could help you better.

Also, searching here for the numerous threads about LMFs and why they don't make good "outdoors" knives would give you a lot of info.

And, it might behoove you to read more, post less. Just my 2 cents.

I edc my ESEE 3, while I dont carry it inside my belt, I use the molle locks and carry it horizontal cross draw. I would suggest you take a good long look at this model if you want to EDC a fixed blade. It is a slim 1/8th inch thick, weighs 5.2 oz, and is built like a tank for its size. Overall I think it is a better knife and would be much easier to edc imo.

I EDC a RAT-3 W/Custom Leather Sheath that can go either inside or outside of your Jeans or Slacks and it is almost impossible to detect either way.! And the Sheath was priced very reasonable for a two way carry Sheath.*
