Mora is not a good idea for that, think SAK instead. Price is only a little more plus you get tools which can be handy. Check the college rules on this and don't flaunt whatever you decide to carry.

I'd venture to say that a fixed blade edc at college wouldn't be the best option. If you like the mora style and price, maybe a Opinel would suit your fancy?
Not to mention, I'm pretty sure a fixed blade won't earn any points with the local college babes.

Lol, like this one, so what should i carry to attract babes ? The first is money ofc :D
Already had my opinel :)) im just trying to add some more to my edc rotation :p

Yeah, I'd avoid a fixed blade on campus... unless it's small like a BK14, an Izula, or a Candiru.

As far as EDCs for college go, go with the SAK! Corkscrew, bottle opener? It's like it was made for college :D

SAK is the way to go. When I'm on campus, I edc a regular Victorinox alox cadet in my right front pocket and I've got a classic in my basic first aid kit that I always carry in my backpack. I've gotten many compliments on having these on hand when needed. Some of the ladies even asked where to get a classic because it would be very convenient to have in their purse.

I did bring my Buck Vantage Pro on campus a couple of times. I did not really need it so I left it at home and replaced it with the more sheeple friendly cadet:-)

As everyone said, you might get in trouble carrying that type of knife on a university campus. Don't risk it. As for the babes, a fun attitude and a sense of humor goes a long way :D

I spent my entire college career with a Buck 110 in one pocket...which quite frankly I carried for defense when walking home at 3:00 in the morning across town by myself...and a Case sodbuster in another for general knife tasks like pencil sharpening etc.

PS. Never used or even came close to using the Buck 110 for it's stated purpose in 4 years.

A prepared person projects a non-victim attitude so if you ever were viewed for victim potential you may have gotten passed as "not worth the risk". Having a knife of any sort in your pocket becomes a reminder that we need to stay alert whether we would use it for defense or not in a situation. Drives me crazy when I see walkers and joggers with ear buds in, might as well paint VIC on their front and back.
