Recently bought a 112 ecolite paperstone. Very nice knife, perfect fit and finish, snap. Perfect in everyway. I've never had any experience with the paperstone. I've read it was tough. Does anyone have any pics of their paperstone knife that they have been carrying in their pocket for a few years, rattling around with their keys?

The top 110 in this pic was carried almost exclusively in my pocket for nearly a year and gutted a buck and a doe.

I carry it in my change pocket, rather than with my keys. The only mark in the paperstone is shown here.

I just noticed that the top and bottom one has what looks like a washer under the pivot pin. What is the date code on these 3 knives?

The bottom is a 2013, the middle is a 2009(first year of the eco) and the top with the washered rivot is a 2010. The early models had issues of the blade sticking(no snap closing) so the washered pivot rivet was introduced, ala Bucklites.

Here is a 2009 112 exhibiting the issue

My 2009 110 never had the issue, but the '13 112 is going back on the next spa shipment for replacement as it is the worst one I have seen. This is just a tolerance/quality control issue though and a rarity, the '09s were a design issue.
