I have looked at several edc pocket organizers (maxpedition, condor, voodoo tac, ect...) and i like the idea of having more stuff on me and it all being organized. But i was wondering, for the people that have edc man-purses or pocket organizers, do you use them often and if so what do you carry in them? thanks =-)

I used to carry a MaxP Jumbo, mainly to carry food, water, and a book, then, as long as I was carrying it, I'd throw in an extra knife, flashlight, batteries, camera, multi-tool, buff, notepad, pens, etc.
If anyone called it a purse, I'd tell them that it was designed as a gun bag, and then the macho factor would automatically outweigh the wussy factor.
It got annoying that, due to the design, I couldn't switch it to the other shoulder.
If you're going to buy one, I'd definitely recommend finding one that can be worn on either side.
With even a small load of 10#, it would get uncomfortable after a few hours or a few miles of walking. A backpack is always more comfortable for any amount of weight, distance, or time.

A pocket organizer is in a different class completely, as it has to go into a pocket or bag. Pocket organizers are a great way to organize a bunch of small items, but you need a place to carry them, as they're too small for a shoulder strap.

I don't know if this counts? I mean I lug it around for work and school all the time, and stick my personal stuff in it too, but I don't really carry gadgets in it at all other than some pens, and sometimes a gun.

Saddleback Thin Briefcase... I think the color is walnut? Bought it as one of the "Dave's Deals" on their website, so it was around $410 thereabout.

I use a maxped remora to keep myself in order. Mostly the kind of thing most people would have in the glove-box or desk drawer, but its a literal grab-and-go bag. Little first aid kit, meds, bandana, pens, bluetooth and backup battery for my phone, snacks, water and all manner of other greeblies. It also becomes a pocket dumping ground in case I leave the house without by brain engaged. I also have developed this weird thing where I still wear cargos, but much less often, (I buy clothes almost never, so it takes a long time to change out the wardrobe) but I also hate having things in my pockets. I don't know why, but more than one small thing in a pocket is too much.
I've also used pocket organizers, and they work great if you always wear cargos, or as a subload in a larger bag.
It really depends on what you carry, your environment, and needs. I've used several different bags over the past few years, and still swap between them as circumstances change.
I would say, decide what stuff you want to carry, find a bag that holds that and a little more, and just see how you go. its really easy to start carrying way too much. But its like most things, personal preference is everything.

i have a Condor satchel (idk the exact name) that i keep as an urban survival bag that i carry often. Usually keep extra knives (two is one and one is none) flash lights, matches, lighter, pens, note pad, phone charger, snacks, multi-tool, spare mags, and when i dont carry on person theres a pocket for my gun.

I carried a man purse for a while. lol I do not now. My boss carries one everyday still. We both are Funeral Directors and embalmers in a small town and we both are Vol fire fighters and first responders so we have all kinds of random stuff we have to keep on us.

I used a range bag from la Police gear that cost around 25 bucks. I like it and still use it (as a range bag) but It was just too tactical looking to carry everyday use.

My boss uses a canvas / nylon bag about the same size as mine. His was made for electricians or plumbers real heavy duty stuff.

I think a simple back pack is about the best idea. I have a cheap over the shoulder bag that some one gave me and my wife when our child was born for use as a baby bag.It would make a great EDC bag. It blends in with my surroundings here in rural North east Georgia, not tactical or flashy. The only bad thing about the bag is that their is no segmented compartments inside the main compartment. If it had a place for me to keep my Fire radio with out bumping around in it I would use it.

I frequently carry a Kletterwerks Lewis Hand Pack (10.5" x 5" x .5") primarily to hold my small tablet (Google Nexus 7), phone & cables. I keep it inside my large messenger/computer bag so I can just grab it and go. Kletterwerks is owned by Dana Gleason of Dana Designs and Mystery Ranch and makes high quality goods. They make the same basic hand pack design in 2 larger sizes.

If I need to carry more than the hand pack will hold but don't want to carry a full size messenger bag or backpack I usually take a Filson Medium Field Bag 232. I can fit a 10" tablet, camera, binoculars, etc. in that 14" x 11" x 5" bag. I have a Small Field Bag 230 (10" x 9" x 4") that I use as a camera or binocular bag.

I carry a Maxpedition Jumbo sling bag. I consider it my tool bag at work + food + water. I work in IT and I carry a selection of hand tools + LAN tester in. Inside the Jumbo I carry some pocket organizers to sort the tools. If I don't carry my Jumbo on me, its in my truck. I can always grab a pocket organizer and slide it into my cargo pants if I don't want to carry the bag with me. I almost always wear cargo pants and the smaller organizers fit in the big side pocket.

Depending on what you want to carry, you can go with a waist pack or a pack that clips on your belt (like a camera/phone type case).

I have a generic version of the maxpedition jumbo that I have carried for years I don't per say carry it all the times but it is always close. It has first aid stuff comfort stuff in it. It goes in to work or in the car I have a maxpedition micro pocket organizer loaded with edc stuff it gets heavy for one pocket, puts you off balance. Plus I have this thing about having all my gear in a single package so you can lose it all at the same time  I used the micro pocket organizer as a first aid kit it rides in the fatboy clone but with first aid stuff in it it does not weigh enough to bother me so I can drop it in a cargo pocket on bike rides. If I am walking any distance the shoulder bag goes into a day pack along with water snacks etc.

Maxpedition Micro's make amazing pocket organizers. Even better, you can organize your gear just like plumberroy said, and grab what you need when you need. I keep a nice power kit in my bag...couple sets of AA, AAA and a spare CR123 for my Eagletac, IPhone Charger and USB block, two extra micro USB cords (one long one short) w an extra block and a cig lighter USB block. Headphones, adapter for my lifeproof phone case, and an AUX cable.

I just realized all that is in a Mini, not a micro, but I use the micros as well.

Recently I've been using the 5.11 MOAB 6 for a man bag, it works really good and organizes quite a bit of gear for a small bag, more than a Sitka W attachments but it's just not comfortable for prolonged wear.

I have a Tom Bihn Synapse 19 backpack on the way...it looks like I might have finally found the cure to my man bag blues. I saw the company on anther forum and while it was expensive, the organization seemed very stellar, I'm pretty excited to the fact the I might have found the one. It small and had a good amount of organization from what I've seen, 5 front pockets and a main and cleverly designed...will see for sure when it arrives.
