I was pleased to hear of the 154cm version of the edc, I'm ordering 2. I have a question though, The frames will be 420hc and the blades will be 154cm. How about the pivot pin and the bearing surfaces where the pivot pin rides in the frame? Should I have any concern about any deformation of the pin or wallowing out of the hole it rides in? What is the relative hardness of these areas compared to the frame and please tell me the Rc of the 154cm blades. I am assuming that the 420hc blades will be Rc57-58.
Thanks, guys

The frames are heat treated to spring temper so that the lock bar its return to its position and has memory. It is between 40 and 46 rc. As for the holes enlarging. The frame will be a bit harder than titanium. This should say something to you I hope. The holes in the frame are all slip or press fitted for precision. I dont think you have to worry.
The stop pin is hardened also.
The wear parts are hardened for maximun performance per there use. The pivot is between 56-58 rc, the stop pins also.

As for the blade that is a question that will be answered soon. Camillus is known for testing there steels (all types) to get the maximum performance obtainable. I feel after testing the blades they will be between 58-60 rc.
This is just a estimate at this point . We will keep you informed!
