So I have been carrying a knife daily for the past seven or eight months and haven't came up with a solution to my EDC problem. When I first started carrying I was using my small Sebenza. I had taken the pocket clip off and was just throwing it in my right front pocket. I recently purchased an xm18 and have been carrying that with the clip. I now remember why I removed the clip on my Sebenza, because I can't reach my hand into my pocket. Does anyone else have this problem? I like my knife in my right front pocket because it is easy to get to but I also tend to stand with my hands in my pockets a lot. I also like the clip for easy access and prefer to leave it on. Any ideas?

i carry a sog aegis a lot and it has a deep carry clip and i can get my hand in my pocket like there isnt even a knife clipped on, i highly recommend that knife

I like my current knife rotation and don't want to solve the problem by buying a new knife. As for my pants they are not tight. I don't do the skinny jean thing... Just regular blue jeans.

For me it depends on the pants/shorts I am wearing. Some of the designs have tighter pockets.

Try different brand of jeans or carry in a back pocket is my suggestion.

I have tried front pocket carry and it just doesn't work well for me. I carry larger knives in a belt sheath when not in dress clothes and otherwise carry in right real pocket using the clip. It depends on what works for you. I spent too many years in the military where we could not carry anything in our pockets. Carried a knife in a sheath the whole time. Habits are hard to break.

I also tried front pocket carry and did not like it. I tried right side in waist band. Didn't care for that either. I finally tried right rear pocket. That works great for me. My knife rides on the side of my pocket next to my wallet. I have been carrying this way for over a year now with no problems.

I carry one of the following on a regular basis in my right front pocket:
Spyderco Military
ZT0560
Umnumzaan
ZT0303
AD10

No problems really, and I wear jeans to work most of the time. I also carry my wallet in the same pocket. I guess since I don't stand around with my hands in my pockets a lot, I don't have that problem. Is there a reason you are just standing around with your hands in your pockets a lot?

I put my knife in the watch pocket (I think is what its called(Please Correct me if im wrong) The little pocket in the right side pocket) And i just put my right thumb against my leg grasp it with my fingers and pull it out. and i do that even if its clipped in the regular pocket. If im wearing shorts, i like em baggy so i i clip it as far to the right as i can.

I know where your coming from, when I carry my ZT 561 I pretty much give up my front pocket as a loss. My Paramilitary 2 however I hardly even notice is in there. It's a great knife, fantastic geometry and won't take up your whole pocket.

I wear pants like this and have no problem, if I happen to not be wearing pants I keep my knife in my hand at all times...

I think pocket clips are one of the best inventions ever so I use them, but it does limit my access to my right front pocket. This depends on which knife I'm carrying. I typically use my right front pocket for my iphone and it is easy enough to pull the phone out of my pocket using a finger and a thumb without putting my whole hand in my pocket.

I carry things like ink pens, multitool, change in my left front pocket, and my wallet in my back pocket. And lastly I carry my keys on a carabiner clipped to my belt loop.

Custom sheath makers on Bladeforums. Belt loop carry, or a custom rig for cross draw through the shirt buttons, sleeve, pretty much where you want it.

I had a ZT 0360 in my right front jeans pocket the other day. I was going to get a haircut and needed $20 for the barber so I went to the grocery store next to the barber shop got the 20 dollar bill, stuck in my pocket next to my 0360. When I went to pay the barber, the twenty was gone. It seems that I didn't actually push it down into my pocket far enough because of the knife and just fell out of the pocket. Man, was I bummed out.

I am sure I made somebody's day, but I learned a lesson. If I put my knife in my pocket that is all that goes into that pocket. Period. I also ordered a horizontal belt sheath from Amazon to get that pocket real estate back. Expensive lesson though.

The SOG Flash I is the most invisible knife I've EDC'd. It's a small knife to begin with, and the deep carry clip combined with the shape of the handles made it practically disappear when pushed to back of the pocket (by the side seams). It carried well with jeans, slacks, and cargo pants. I could retrieve my keys and wallet from the same pocket without even noticing the knife was there. Maybe you can get a custom clip made sort of in that same style? Might work for the small Seb, but the Hinderer might be too big to just disappear in the pocket.

Been carrying a Spyderco Endura for years. I had the same problem with knives getting in the way of slidding my hands in my pockets. I settled on a Spyderco Endura, main reason was it was thinner than most (for its size). And also just as important, edges need to be smooth, so not to catch on material, or grab you hand. There may be other options as good now, but at the time I settled on the Endura, it was the nicest feeling large forlder.
