I just recently traded into a EDC with 154 CM blade. It was LNIB, and I am extremely pleased with the EDC. Camillus is offering some very nice blades at reasonable prices. I do have a couple of questions about it. What type of material is being used for the pivot washers? And what type and sizes are the screws holding this baby together? I may want to tune the pivot just a bit to my liking.

Big D,
Glad you got an EDC! The pivot washers are teflon. The screws have a all allen head. I don't have the size allen head's handy, but that should be easy to accomodate. If you need any further help, let me know. GLad to have you as a customer!

Will,

Did you switch screws on the EDC or is just the pivot screw an allen screw?

I recall reading that the screws were a T6 --number 6 torx screw. I cannot look right now becase my EDC is no longer my EDC (Every Day Carry.) The clip got sprung--I assume it got caught on something, even if I did not notice. Thus, until I find a T6 driver and adjust the clip I am not carrying it. I wouldn't want to forget, and clip it to my pocket, only to have it fall off.

I did stop in at a Sears, but this mid-sized one did not have a T6 driver. They said they would try to order a couple to have on hand as someone else asked the same week that I did. Perhaps he had an EDC to. Other places such as Home Depot do not go down this small.

I know Camillus would adjust the clip, but if it is going to be an EDC I would prefer to be able to do it myself. I do not believe I could properly adjust the clip back into position without removing it.

I do have the 154CM model and think it is great! :D I do not, however, believe that an EDC should use screws that are so difficult for the user to adjust. One can not send in an EDC everytime the clip gets caught on something.

Thanks for your attention.

Donald.

Donald,
I am sure that in a place the size of Miami, you can find a T-6 :)

Sears CATALOG is a great place to start, also AG Russell sells a lot of Wiha brand microscrewdrivers.

MSC Supply also has a lot to pick from.
