How do you guys do it? Yesterday I carryed it IWB, but it was trying to slip. Fyi the rc-3 carrys better then a skeleton necker I have.

I just make paracord beltloops and carry it on my belt, but I'm in Texas and things are a little different down here.;)

If you want to carry IWB, try a short tether tied between the bottom of the sheath and your beltloop, that'll keep it from dissapearing into the depths of your undies.

Every time I would sit down, it would go a little lower, until the bottem of the sheath was bulging out, witch happened in arbys, so I just put my hand in my pocket to cover it up untill we got outside.

I carry mine with just the sheath (no clip or molle locks or anything) and usually just stick it in a front pocket. I find it rides really nicely in most jeans, cargos and khakis. Nice and flat and just long enough so just the butt sticks out of the pocket.

Bro, I'm not trying to rain on your parade or anything... but be careful carrying around a fixed blade like that IWB. It's not -really- within the laws of our state.

"...Carrying concealed weapons. (a) It shall be
unlawful for any person, except when on his own premises,
willfully and intentionally to carry concealed about his
person any bowie knife, dirk, dagger... razor... or other
deadly weapon of like kind. This section does not apply to
an ordinary pocket knife carried in a closed position. As
used in this section, "ordinary pocket knife" means a
small knife, designed for carrying in a pocket or purse,
which has its cutting edge and point entirely enclosed by
its handle, and that may not be opened by a throwing,
explosive, or spring action... (b1) It is a defense to
prosecution under this section that: (1) The weapon was
not a firearm; (2) The defendant was engaged in, or on the
way to or from, an activity in which he legitimately used
the weapon..."

Like I said, I'm not telling you -not- to do it, I'm just saying be aware of what the law says. Being so young, it might not be the best idea. It's going to be hard to explain why you needed a fixed blade concealed inside your waistband at 13-14 years old.

I know the laws, couldnt you catch that from shotgunners post? Just speculating here, but could a sheath be considered a handle? Perhaps if you were to tie the sheath to the knife via a lanyard.

I take my RC-3 fishing with the boot clip on my belt. This is in a sheep filled metro area. It rides high so my shirt covers 90% of it but it's still not concealed.

You will not be able to argue the law with police. Do not try and conceal it if it is against your state laws. That would be stupid.

Couldnt I catch that -you- knew the law from someone else's post? No... And, the fact that you were going around town concealing the knife, shows that either: A) You do not know the law. B) You do not care about the law. Then again, I remember your attitude towards law enforcement, so perhaps it is the latter.

You are right, I should have known that you couldnt catch that, because shotgunners post was kinda subtle. I dont plan on wearing the rc3 everyday, this info is for edc as much as it is for camping/hiking, because I camp in state rec. areas alot, that are crowded with sheeple.

so true, I miss that about texas. I could walk downtown san an with a 5 inch kabar on my waist and wouldn't get a second glance...

If it were me, I'd just carry it on my belt. If I did want to conceal it, I'd just get the pocket clip attachment for the sheath and slip it in the back pocket of my jeans. Cheers

M.E.

I EDC mine on my belt with paracord, it ride's kind of high but you get use to it and a t- shirt will cover it if need be.
It doesn't get in the way when I'm working but the handle will catch things occasionally if you brush against something.
