Hi, I’m new to posting on the forum but I had a thought today I would like comments on..There is always a debate on what’s the best EDC knife. I know some guys have a “rotation” but I have tried a multitude of different folders and a couple of fixed blades and I have found that so far the Spyderco manix 2 with the CPM S30V flat ground blade just seems to do everything I ask it to. I have the sprint run model with the orange G10 that I purchased used. I know there is nothing as a “perfect” EDC for everybody and since I don’t work in an office (anymore) I carry it everywhere. I was thinking of buying a Spyderco leaf storm but I ‘am not sure.. Any thoughts?

If you like a bigger knife like the Manix, I think you would find the leaf to be a little small for your taste. But you could always try to handle one in a store.

If you already have the Manix 2 and you like it, you're pretty much set. Not sure what you're looking for...do you not like the Manix 2? Are you looking for something bigger, smaller, fatter, skinnier, lighter? If you narrow it down a bit I'm sure folks could come up with some good suggestions.

As has been mentioned, one of the Sages, most likely the 3, will prolly be the closest to your M2 but a little smaller & lighter. If you want to try something similar but not too close, one of the Caly's would be a good choice. The Caly 3 ZDP or the Caly 3.5 in VG10 might suit your "smaller & lighter" needs.

Thanks for the comments , I like the look of the SAGE 3 I will check it out.. I also have been reading about a BUCK USA VANTAGE PRO KNIFE it has a S30V BLADE and G-10 HANDLES Even has BOS heat treated blade.. Sounds like a good deal & the price is right..Don't know much about BUCK knives ..I know they have been around a long time . SPYDERCO has never let me down.
