Hey guys! I'm currently in the market for a new EDC. I currently switch off between a Kershaw Skyline, and a Spyderco Tenacious, but my infinite lust for blades has compelled me to purchase a new one. I have a few in mind such as the Centofante, Native, or perhaps the Delica, but im open for any recommendations. Ive considered the Izula, but according to you guys, its a must-have so I will be ordering one regardless. Id like to keep the price under 125$, and the weight under 5oz. I know alot of you guys have carried just about every blade out there, and was just looking for some advice for my next purchase. Thanks in advance for any help!:D

My top three picks are the Spyderco Stretch, and Para. Also, to change things up, the BM 14205, recently received one, and man I like it. :D

Look around BF, there are a bunch of "EDC Recommendation" threads. You should be able to find something

Spyderco military and para military, strech FRN ZDP, G-10 Endura.

Benchmade 710, Grip, Torrent, Barrage.

Kershaw tyrade, JYD II CB, S30V blur, Spec bump, Shallot.

Just a few more to look at :)

Go with the Delica 4. All screw construction, VG10, 4-way clip, great sized EDC blade. And it's only $50 to $60.

If you want to try something new how about a fixed blade? My HEST is my new fixie and I love it to bits. I get comments all the time on how sweet a knife it is.

Benchmade 940,710
Spyderco Para military,Endura,delica,stretch,Tenacious

Way too many to list but if I had to pick I'd go with the Benchmade 940,it's just an awesome knife.:thumbup::thumbup:

From my slowly growing youtube review list, I esp. recommend to look at these ones for general EDC under $125:

Spyderco Sage and Spyderco Caly 3
Spyderco Endura 4 G10 and Byrd Cara Cara G10 for the Endura 4 G10
Spyderco elegance: Centofante 3 & Centofante 4
Two elegant Benchmades: Nagara and 940 Osborne
Three tactical knives: FKMD Profili, Zero Tolerance ZT200, Spyderco Military for the classic Military but probably just above your budget

Or, more "gentlemen" in style:
Chambriard "Le Compagnon" and Maserin "Gourmet" for the Chambriard Compagnon
Two French Knives: Nontron and Perceval "Le Français" for the Perceval
Mcusta MC-75D "Take" and Fontenille-Pataud "Le Thiers" for the Mcusta which is just in your budget if you shop around.
Three Italian knife reviews: Viper Gent, Lion Steel Opera, Maserin Touch
Italian elegance: Spyderco Volpe and Maserin Spider 2 - the Volpe is esp luxurious

i have carried the Centofante III for a long time and boy is it a nice blade. it doesn't weigh a whole lot. strong back lock allows no movement of the blade in any direction. VG-10 blade steel is top notch imho and i think it looks hella cool :D.

Welcome to Bladeforums "Rebel3580"!

What about a G10 Endura or the Stretch? Do you have any restrictions on blade length? If not, take a look at the G10 Police.
Let us know what you decide.

Spyderco Delica 4
Benchmade Mini Grip 555HG
Spyderco Caly 3 (Vg-10)
Spyderco Para Military

These are my favorite "EDC" knives and I love them all!

For ~$125, you can get 3 of these:

Buck Vantage Pro in S30V and G-10.

And I also like the Spyderco Endura G-10 recommendation.

Caly3 or Persian.

Both knives have excellent design and made great. F&F is outstanding. Both are compact and carry really well in the pocket. Blade is 3" for both. Ergonomics are outstanding. Excellent cutters. You will enjoy every second you use them, just keep them sharp. Blade steel is VG10, which is one of the best Japanese steels, very easy to maintain and takes very keen edge. Street around $100. Persian is little more on dress-up side, also great for EDC if you work in office.
If you want to spend less, I would recommend Centofante3.
Good luck.

I use a CRKT My Tighe plain edge for my EDC. The black half serrated one is cooler lookin, but I just hate sharpening serrations, takes too long and it seems like they don't stay as sharp as my good ol' plain edge would. I think I got mine for around 70$. Funny thing is the guy I bought if from asked me if I was with SWAT. I guess a lot of swat guys like the My Tighe. Anyway good luck with the search!

I have the Delica 4, Centofante III, Native w/ S30V & FRN, and the Caly 3. They are all great knives. The Delica 4 is the one I've had the longest and it and the Native are the ones I most often EDC. The Centofante is beautiful but the blade seems a bit thin for my liking. The Caly 3 is in VG10 w/ G10 and it is the nicest Knife I own. It feels great in the hand and I love the FFG and G10 scales but it's so nice I'm a little afraid of messing it up. The Delica fits my hand well and I don't feel guilty using it hard. All of the knives you mentioned are good just order all of them, lol.

I'm a pretty big fan of the Emerson CQC's. I'm carrying one right now but that will probably change as soon as my ZT 0300 finally arrives in the mail. Anyone else get angry with how long it takes to get a new knife in the mail? I can't be alone on this...
