I am looking for a really good-looking knife for under 50 bucks. I really like the looks of some of the rosewood handles on some knives but none that I have seen are in my price range. I like smaller knives too. All of my blades are under 3" and are usually a combo plain/serrated edge. I mostly use this for the general uses (box opening, rope cutting, any work related task) and dont beat up the blade. I would really appreciate some recommendations.

on this forum your gonna get a bunch of peanut suggestions :p
for small knives i like mini-trappers or maybe a buck 309 :p

I have the Buck 309, which is a pen knife with 2 blades. It is a joy to carry because it is compact and light. I would consider the rest of the 300 series; they include 2 sizes of 3-bladed stockman knives, as well as a 2-7/8" single blade version. Most patterns have plastic, dymondwood, and yellow delrin handles to choose from.

You might also consider Buck's 55, prince or squire lockbacks with nickel silver bolsters and wood handles.

A bunch of Case knives also fall into your price range, like the peanut, sodbuster, mini trapper, pen knife, texas jack and of course the stockmans.

I don't know of too many traditional styled knives with serrated combo edges.

Case Peanut, Case Medium Texas Jack, and Case Stockmans
Buck 309 and maybe even the wee little 305, you can get them in the "Chairman series" with cherry diamondwood which kinda/maybe/sorta looks like rosewood
These are just the ones i like the most - you have sooooo many options to choose from though

Take your take time, pick one you like, and then buy 15 more

All of those look great but I forgot to mention that I am looking for more of a single blade folder not so much a traditional. I need the pocket clip feature. Thanks for the input though!

umm if your not interested in a traditional, why post this in the traditional folders and fixed blade forums?
general forum might get you better suggestions for what you want...

although to be fair, i often carry a kabar dozier folding hunter :P
but i usually have my case mini-trapper or wenger SI in the other pocket

:D

Ah. I can fix that for you. Off to General we go...

CRKT has lots of models that might fit your criteria. Some people like them and some people don't. I own 2 of their large folders and I can't find any fault with them so far. Kershaw is another brand that you could consider.
