I am looking for a really good-looking knife for under 50 bucks. I really like the looks of some of the rosewood handles on some knives but none that I have seen are in my price range. I like smaller knives too. All of my blades are under 3" and are usually a combo plain/serrated edge. I mostly use this for the general uses (box opening, rope cutting, any work related task) and dont beat up the blade. I would really appreciate some recommendations.

I have a Buck Vantage Pro incoming. The 3.1" version is a few dollars more then your budget but the smaller model should fit in your budget. Has a nice S30V Bos treated blade. I think they'll suit most folks EDC requirement.

Sounds like you just described my EDC. I wanted something not too scary looking to take to work in a business casual environment. I got a Boker Eskelimoor II and its been working great. Its a 2.75in blade (hollow ground 440c), Bog Oak scales and a pocket clip.

Here are some photos of it (not mine).
