I am looking fore a classic slipjoint knife for EDC use. Right now i am choosing between Benchmade Proper 318 or 319 and Böker Club Knife Gentlemen.
The Benchmade has better steel and is not pinned so you can cleen it bur the Böker is more beautiful acording to me, witch one would you choose?

Get both!

All right, old jokes aside, those are two very different knives.

If your motivation for buying one of these is that you are going to be in extremely non-permissive environments, then the Boker is the choice: the wooden slabs, small size, and overall traditional look make it less likely to set off anybody's "dangerous weapon" alarm.

The Proper becomes the choice if you're buying more to suit your own tastes, because it is quite a bit less expensive, and you get what you pay for with Benchmade, whereas I feel like the Club Knife is about $80 over it's "fair value" price.

I will warn you that, no matter which one you get, the other one is going to sit in your shopping cart, taunting you and making you nostalgic for "the one that got away". Just participating in Bladeforums makes it something like 50% more likely that you really will end up with both.

If I had to pick one of the three you listed, I'd go 319. I prefer the sheepsfoot over the clip point. The Boker does look nice but I also love micarta. The Boker isn't worth another $70 or so in my opinion either.

Also, check out the Lionsteel (from Italy) Best man series of modern slip joints. You can get M390 for the same price as the Propers. Linked from KC for easy reference.

Look at the Rough Rider from SMKW. I have one with the blue alum. scales and gorgeous VG10 clip point. Mine was like 14 bucks a year ago or so. Just a very very well done sj folder. stay safe

Go check out the lionsteel and viper offerings at collectorknives.net ( knifeswapper knifeswapper ). M390 steel, great cover materials. Just great slipjoint knives with modern materials. I carry a lionsteel warhorse often.

The Lionsteels are great. I only have a slim barlow in carbon fiber, but the fit and finish is exemplary and wouldn't hesitate recommend the brand. The bolstered models have a traditional look with modern construction - not as traditional as the Boker, having screws instead of peened pins, but definitely closer to traditional than the Behchmade Propers.

I second the Lionsteel slim Barlow :
-Excellent slicer
-A wide array of choices in scales and blade shapes (mine is a roundhead with copper scales)
-Excellent fit and finish
-Traditionnal slip joint profile with a modern M390 blade twist

Another vote for the Lionsteel.

Lionsteel Bestman Roundhead is a very good option and it is the one I carry the most

My favorite modern slipjoint is the CRK Impinda but it is very expensive

On the other end of the price scale the civivi Appalachian drifter is a nice option too

The case sodbuster is not expensive and very utilitarian

If you can put your hand on a GEC they are very nice too

While we’re on the subject of Collector Knives and Mike’s modern traditionals, let’s not forget the new Recoil from Fox. M390 clip point blade, integrated Ti bolsters/liners. Absolutely excellent fit/finish and walk/talk. Mine is in bocote but it’s also available in CF, micarta and I believe G10. Hasn’t left my pocket as my secondary since I got it.

Instead of spending a lot of $$$. try a SAK. I've EDCed a Victorinox Tinker for about 30 years. It will do most everything except cut down oak trees. Alternative to Tinker would be Vic. Explorer. You can get custom scales that just snap on if you like wood or something else.

If you are OK with a detent style slipjoint I recommend the ZT0235. This knife got me away from every other slipjoint.

Agreed. Warhorse is a very well made knife. M390 blades that arrive very sharp. Titanium frame and bolster. Half stop. Stop pins on closing. Perfect blade alignment. Nail nicks on both sides of both blades to make it lefty friendly. Don't be fooled by the torx head screws though, they are not for disassembly, strictly to fasten bolsters and covers to the frame. A totally modern knife construction with a classic look. I carry this one a lot.
