EDC: The Strider SnG, or CRK Lg. Sebbie???

The Strider SnG, or CRK Lg. Sebbie, which do you prefer as an EDC knife (general purpose, not indestructible)? I’m more than likely going to buy one of the two in the next few days and am leaning toward the Lg. Sebbie (w/ Diamond-Bed). But, if you had to pick between the two of them, which one would you pick?

I have never owned a SnG (had an SMF) and own a Lg. Sebbie (Unique, Opal…), but it was a gift and, well, it’s not going to be a user. Any comments on either of the knives are appreciated. :)
TIA,

-Joe

I have both and prefer the Sebenza hands down.

Between the two it is a far better slicer and I just find it to be much more refined and way more pocket friendly than the SnG.

Another thing: the Sebenza locks up solidly every single time whereas the SnG has developed significant blade play which necessitates it being sent in for adjustment/repair.:(

If you had an SMF and have a lg sebenza then you should have a good idea of what you like. I bet you will get more people saying sebenza but from what I see you can make both work.

Thanks!
That's exactly what happened with my SMF! :(

The SMF is too much for me as an EDC on most days. I think the SnG is more akin to the Lg. Sebbie than the SMF, no?

I think I am going to go with the Diamond-Bed Lg. Sebbie tomorrow.

I like the SnG better than the Sebenza.
It's a toss up between it (or an SmF) and the Umnumzaan for EDC.

Large Sebenza - the fit, finish, and customer service of Chris Reeve Knives is a thousand times better than what you get from Strider.

Thanks!

Sorta. The closed and OAL are pretty close but you get a little more cutting edge as well as a more useful (IMO) point with the Sebenza (21, that is). Of course, the SMF is a beast compared to the other two.

Camera battery was dead; please excuse the crappiness of the phone pic.

The Sebenza will be a better overall slicer and has a statistically higher chance of having pristine quality control. The SnG has better ergos (to me) and has a lighter weight I believe. I personally like the SnG's overall design more than the Sebenza. It really can be a toss up depending on your personal preferences.

Striders don't have a blade play if you are not a girl and know how to tighten the pivot. If it does then it's either a lemon or frame lock has been worn down from the extensive use.
Chosing between SNG and Large Sebbie I would go with sebbie just because the SNG is a bit too small to perfectly fit my hand that makes it difficult to comfortably close/open it. In my book the SMF would be a more fair comparision.
I own both large reg sebbie and smf and I like them almost equally. If I knew that I would only be using the knife for just cutting/slicing I would go with Sebenza. Also, Sebenza is slimmer that makes it somewhat easier to carry in formal clothes. It also a little bit easier to disassemble for cleaning because it has less screws to take a part. I also heard that CRK customer service is more straighforward comparing to Strider's.

Orly?

Mine must be a lemon then* because it sure hasn't seen excessive use and I still have blade play even if I tighten the pivot all the way down. In fact, the lock barely even engages the tang and can be released with hardly any resistance. I'm sure all it needs is a new larger stop pin but it sure as heck wasn't like this when I first got it.

*Along with everyone elses' that have the same problem.

Out of those two choices, I think I would pick Large Sebenza. It just lends itself to being a great EDC knife
