EDC to be discontinued ??

I just heard as a rumour that a dealer said the EDC is to be discontinued ?

Or was this just some missunderstanding on whoevers part and maybe just the "old" original 420HC version was talked about .....

I would appreciate Will or whoever else "in-the-know" can comment on this subject.

I would REALLY like to know where this came from....this is definately a rumor. The EDC is here to stay:D
 
Maybe it came from the people hearing that Darrel was slowly discontinuing the his EDC and thought that meant the Camillus EDC?

this rumour was from another german member of another BB (the CPF) - and he seems to have gotten it from one internet dealer - I will make him aware of this thread and maybe he can comment on.

What I found was this as possibly having caused the confusion - besides me posting such rumours here for which I want to say sorry and thank you for clarification.

And I think the EDC is such a great product I would have needed to buy a truckload if it would have been to be discontinued.

File this one under 'For what it's worth'...

My wife and I are knife collectors...we have over xxx 'high end' knives in our collection, mostly Randall's, Jess Horn's, and original Gerber/Al Mar/Applegate variants...but our 'EDC's', the knives we use are for the most part, those made by you.

We like the knives so much that we buy them, often just to give away to our friends...

That said, we'd like to see more EDC's made up in 154CM and D2...and, in a slightly larger size...like +20% larger. The same DR EDC design, on steroids. If you could do that for us, we'd buy a half dozen.

Keep up the good work Will, and please, build us the knife we want.

FWIW,

The big D recently did some work on my custom EDC, and said to hold onto it because he would not be making any more. Guess it is going the way of the Apogee.

I have discontinued the 4 inch EDC folder.
I have TI frame 3.5 and NEW domed contoured 3 inch TI frame EDC knives customs that I will continue to build for a while.
I am offering them with talonite or d2 blades...

All the finishes have been on all of my knives have been upgraded to hand rubbed satin blades and handles unless you want a combat finish.
I will be discontinuing the EDC line of custom knives this year!

The new MADD MAXX ll knives (domed and contoured) with inlays, new carving, new combat grip patterns, and the venturi balisong knives are my focus at this time.
There are many new features on the maxx! The 4 inch, 5.5 inch, and 7.125 inch Gibbs models are shipping now.

The new Aftermath 4 inch power assist custom, 4.25 inch dominator custom robo and others will be out in mid summer.
