Looking for a good quality inexpensive edc type pocket pry tool for myself and a buddy at work. We use them fairly often for seperating fixture components and such at work and are both tired of walking to our toolboxes for these tools. Any recommendations for a good cheapish pry bar that I can pick up for both of us? (Hes cheap and won't buy one for himself but I know how useful it would be for both of us so I will grab him one too)

Hopefully I posted this in the right section.

I have a smallish (about 6”) Stanley pry bar I got at one of the big box home centers for a few dollars. It rides on my edc bag and comes in handy quite often.

I have one on my key chain from nite Ize. got it on the big A store on line. it pry's has ntt size and a bottle opener. About 2.5 inches long. Handy enough for everyday lightweight work. $4.64

There are lots of options for MINI PRY BARS - check out the options lower down the page too.

The thing about pry bars (aside from them needing to withstand prying forces) is that - unless the handle is long enough to get good purchase, or shaped so that you can add a section of pipe (or the like) to extend the grip and leverage - you won't be able to use it for much prying, except perhaps, opening a paint can. I really like a VAUGHN bar. In the 6" range is OK but the longer the more useful. Still a pair of Vaughns are indispensable. Not so much though (as you suggest) if you don't want to carry them or aren't close to your tool tote. The little ones (like in the link) then become very useful. :)

Get the little 5" Dasco pro pry bar.
Inexpensive, American made by Vaughan & Bushnell , good quality, and they're made by a tool maker out of actual tool steel and not some crappy stainless.
I carry a different little bar by Dasco every work day and use it often.
You can find them at a lot of hardware stores, and home Depot ...ect in sets with other bars, but they are also available individually for as low as $3 online.

I have been satisfied with the selection available at the home centers )Lowe's and Home Depot). I won't carry one as an edc, but I keep several pry bars in my field bag which contains larger knives, a pry bar, and other misc. tool items that come in handy like the larger pliers based multi-tools.
