Busse Assault Shaker

All completely legal for everyone living in the Old West, however I am also a Probation Officer

Darkjedi - May the Force be with you.

Unfortunately, in Ohio, the firearms would be out as EDC. We have some hosed laws here. Only Law Enforcement officers can carry concealed.

Since they were listed as your EDC, I just meant that I hope that they are carried within the laws of your state.

Thatmguy,
Thanks for the clarification. That's what I figured you might be getting at living in Ohio. Did this Ohio appellete court ruling get much media coverage in your area?

"On April 10 an Ohio appellate court unanimously ruled that Ohio's ban on carrying concealed weapons, in effect since 1974, violated the people's right to keep and bear arms. The appellate court also upheld a lower court's dismissal of the prosecution of a pizza deliveryman who carried a handgun in his waistband for protection while making his deliveries. Since 1851, the Ohio Constitution has said, "the people have the right to bear arms for their defense and security." In striking down the ban, the court noted that the framers of the Ohio constitution "put the citizens' rights up front. We believe they meant what they said." This ruling is a victory for the citizens of Ohio."

Here's a link to this article on this case that I just quoted from the Cato institute that may positively affect your rights in this area http://www.cato.org/dailys/04-20-02.html Good luck my Ohio Bretheren :)

The way laws are (and are going) in NJ, one will be fortunate to carry metal buttons on clothing soon.

Glock 30 at least one spare mag sometimes two
Spyderco Police model PE
Spyderco Massad Ayoob PE
Cold Steel Spike around neck
Kubaton

Hey, Rainmaker 870 I noticed you were from CO,
did you guys ever get your ccw passed?

Not on a statewide level, Bravado. Some counties do, some counties don't; those that do issue "State permits" that are golden anywhere in the state.

MY County Sheriff does, though - bless his Steel Heart!!

The Shall Issue law may actually have a shot this year - I personally have my doubts, but you can bet I'll be working for it.

SIG 229 in .40
Chris Reeve Sebenza and a few Spyderco's
SOG Tomcat for a large folder
Steel heart II for a fixed blade

And if all else fails a full size Chevy to run over the bad guy!!!:D
