It's perfectly legal where I live , but I just wonder if I should carry it , it's rather big. I love the knife and I would like to have it on me at all times.

Scout carry works great with the 7. I have a Nix custom sheath for mine, but there are a number of fine makers on here.

How would you recommend carrying it?

well...slab it to your belt ;) Maybe a sheath upgrade?! My BK7 rides in a kydex dangled style sheath...but carrying this puppy will raise more then a few eyebrows. So it stays home or inside my backpack when I'm on a outdoor adventure. I'm jealous that you can carry it legally!! (where do you live?)

Great knife for EDC....and about everything else.

when you figure it out, let us know. Also, if you set your location in your profile we can see where this mythical land of 7-inch carry is. :D

You could also get a BK17 for EDC and then go home to papa at the end of the day. Might scare folks with the 7 (again, depends where you are).

Indiana , I actually got stopped by the cops when I was running really late at night (I always run at night) and the cops just asked me what I was doing out , they didn't even mention the BK7 on my belt.

In Canada it is legal to carry any size blade that you can express logical explanation for carry. Pretty much any reason other then 'self defense' qualifies. Our laws are a little strange in the way that outside of your own home, if you defend yourself with a tool it gets reclassified as a 'weapon'. Assault with a weapon is a indite-able offense, and you will get charged regardless of if you attack or defend. Charges get dropped if it gets proven that you were defending........

Anywho, I EDC'd a BK2 for about 5 months before my wife let me buy a new toy and asked me to put my 2 in my EDC bag :) I'd rock that 7 with style. As soon as the BK21 comes out I may assign that to hip duty for a while :D

So you can carry what you want, but evening exercise is HIGHLY suspicious! :D

AS-

The BK7 really isn't all that big. But then again I regularly EDC my BK9 and similarly sized blades, and have learned to work with both their weight and size. After the first couple of weeks, you stop noticing when it is there, and only notice when it isn't.

I enjoyed it as my edc till I got a 2. And it was never an issue even with cops. Even when I was warring it at work when someone was shot.

Very tempted to pick up a 7 cuase there on sale at the river store. Broke though. Was gonna get a 5 15 and 14 but my order got canceled cause they couldn;t fulfill it couple weeks ago. Still want a 14 and 7.
