edc without a point ?

I just got this victorinox, the pocket clip and one hand feature are cool but the vics all have the rounded tip. When using an edc knife i usually use it for opening packages and it seems awkward to be, well, pointless. What do you think ?

I'm not sure what Victorinox comes without a point? The only one with a rounded point that I know of is the childs first SAK made, but all the rest have a spear point, which is great for piercing packages and other uses.
