What in yalls opinion are some of the best auto and non auto edc knives for under 45 dollars?

At what reputable dealers are you finding the Delica at that price? I've just checked a number of the usual suspects, most of them BF members, and found no Delicas under $45.

Okay, I just found ONE Delica (SE) at NGK for just under $45.

Good question. This is my favorite knife around that price point but $45 seems a bit low.

Assisted Kershaws for quality cheap auto like action.
Easier to find quality, cheap non autos though. How about a Case Sodbuster!

My personal opinion is the quality is not there for most autos under 45 bucks. If you had a bin of chinese made autos you could sort through them to find one with an acceptable action but then you would be upset when it refused to hold an edge. Spend around $100 and your options for future joy are much higher.

Not likely. Most autos go for a premium. Not for sure exactly why though. Possibly the risk of selling them. When I lived in CA., I bought a bunch of autos from a place called Phil's Fine Cutlery, in Lost Wages. I hear tell he got busted by the authorities for breaking the federal switchblade law. Said law only bans interstate shipment of autos. Cannot ship or transport over state lines.

If you, in your travels, cross a state line with an auto on your person, you broke said law. This stupid law needs to be repealed, and states need to do like Texas recently did, and repeal their switchblade laws. Maybe we'll see lower prices then? Doubtful though, the dies been set.

Eh, good point. I haven't looked at the prices of them in a while. I bought mine brand new for $35 about a year ago and it looks like they've gone up a couple bucks since.

You won't really find a good auto for anywhere near $45. You're also not likely to find a Delica for that.

Spyderco-Tenacious, Resilience, Persistence, and any of their Byrd line

Where are you finding Delicas for under $45? Everywhere I look, including many registered Bladeforums dealers, have them higher than that. The cheapest one I found was a used one at $51, for a new one, I don't find them for under $58.
