I have a very hard choice to make. I am trying to figure out which knife I want to edc:confused: . My choices are:(All knives have a plain edge) Benchmade Mini-Pika, Spyderco Native, and a Kershaw Scallion with Black handle and blade. I also have the option of carrying a Cold Steel Ti-Lite, Cold Steel Large Voyager (half serrated), or Benchmade Mini-Ambush, although I would rather not carry the latter options because they are more expensive, but still are options. I know you all are probably thinking that it is a decision only I can make, because only I know what I like best, but I would like some suggestions and to know what you would choose. Thanks for the help.

The Native is a superb choice. They are S30V steel with a very efficient blade shape in a ergonomic easy carrying package.

Why choose one single knife? I rotate between all of my knives, and usually never carry the same one more than a couple of days in a row.

I have a Native, a Leek, and a Chive. All great knives. I always find myself reaching for the chive. The Ken Onion designs are slim, strong, and scalpel sharp. I guess it depends on what you are going to cut with them. If you are in for heavier use the Native would be the better choice.

My vote is for the Voyager. The native is the only Spydie I don't like. Not a fan of Kershaw. I had a Voyager for 2 years and it was fine. Not a Spydie, but fine. You can get them cheap at gunshows.

is my EDC. The Voyager I had was good quality but too big for my taste and wasn't set up for an ambi clip so I traded it. That last part is important to this southpaw. Kershaw makes a fine knife if you happen to be right handed.

You are the only one who can make right choice. Rotate all of them and than you will know for sure. Also, depending on the task, probably you will have more than one. At this moment I have six on my rotation and all of them different.

I'd be rockin' the Native most often, if I were you. The Ti-Lite is a decent piece of pocket cutlery, too; I carry mine sometimes.

I'd go with a Voyager. I carry the 4" plain edge daily as a beater and like the heck out of it. It can be a little big but it's big when you need it and it still rides light and flat.

Really nothing wrong with any of your choices. I even carried a cheapie Kershaw Vapor and it was a decent blade for under 20 bucks at Wal-Mart. My 10 year old is using it now.

I just remembered, I have one of those also, another choice to consider. Thanks alot:grumpy:. I am thinking about getting a Kershaw Storm I with PE, so I think I'll wait untill I do to make my desision. Thanks for all of the help.

I think you should go with the Native, unless you can get your hands on a Kershaw Leek! I love Kershaw knives! I EDC a Spec Bump and a ZDP Leek!

I just started purchasing a few EDC knives and the one I've become attached to is the Chris Reeve large Classic Sebenza without all the graphics. It is a nice sized knife but not too large for EDC. The Kershaw Leek is another great knife. If I really want to go larger, my Spyderco Manix is a hefty knife. I found a belt sheath to go with it because it is too heavy to carry in my pocket.

You have a large Voyager that's half-serrated? I always thought those were kinda hard to find. Corrections welcomed.

Yes I do, I found it at Sports Authority for $35 on sale. It was a good deal if you ask me:rolleyes:.

Pardon me. I meant to ask if you found an XL 1/2 serrated Voyager. If that deserves a roll of the eyes, then I deserve it.

Sorry, I though it was a smiley face like this one:) , I thought it looked cooler, didn't know what it meant. No, you don't deserve a roll of the eyes, you just misunderstood the size.
