EDCi formula vs mineral oil

Looking for opinions of EDCi formula. I usually use mineral oil for corrosion resistance. A friend just sent me a bottle of this new stuff. Is it better? Worse? It’s definitley a thinner liquid and doesn’t leave much of a coating, which is nice, but is it as effective?
