I'd just recommend getting a or a few dedicated work knives. Something like a Benchmade Griptilian in S30v, coated. The plastic handle will hold up and the coating should help with the sweat and humidity. I use my uncoated n680 or coated D2 Grip as my yardwork and mowing knife during the summer. To me they are just folding utility knives, Benchmade seems too run the steel a little soft but they take an edge again easily.
Even the idea of watching those videos bores me, but the thumbnail seems to suggest that it managed to prevent corrosion on Spyderco's M4. If that's the case it must be good stuff. I've had patina form on those just from contact with my thumb.
