Does anyone here EDC both a plain edge folder and a serrated edge folder at the same time?

Which two knives did you choose?

kind of. i carry a zt0301 and a sog powerplier which has a saw and a partially serrated blade as well as other nifty usefull attachments.

I do, pretty much every day.

Today I chose a Delica 3 PE and a Delica 3 SE.
The PE is my user.

I used to carry a Buck crosslock for just that reason- 2 blades one knife. I bought a next generation Firemans folder to carry the two again but it came without a pocket clip so I sent it back for a hunters model with a pocket clip.

PE only. (Unless I'm caring my Leatherman Wave.) I think I have pulled the SE out twice in 3 years.

I used to EDC a Spyderco Military PE and an Endura SE for work, however, I've changed to carrying PE only. If the need for a serrated edge comes up, I take care of it with my ST200.

IMO, the PE is much more versatile and easier to sharpen. ;)

When I'm working I usually carry a BM 710, and a Spyderco Endura 4. The serrations work wonders on the plastic banding and stuff.

yablanowitz,

Is that your puppy in your avatar? He's really cute. What breed?

I used to carry a Spyderco Meerkat (serrated with S-curve) and a generic Swiss-style knife or Vic Tinker, but now I don't carry the Meerkat so often.

I EDC a PE(Gunhammer, Military, 710, etc) and a SE which is usually a Para-military or a Civilian.

That's Fluffy, Destroyer of Worlds. I stole the pic from someone else, zenheritic I think. :D

Back to topic,
Once you have gotten your hands on a Large Dyad (C44) you no longer need to carry two knives to have plain and full serrated. I still carry a lot more than two, but the Dyad could handle most chores if I didn't mind beating it up. Since I do mind, it sees fairly light duty (trimming trees, slicing apples, etc.)

i carry 2 all the time, a emerson CQC8, CQC12 or a spyderco Ti ATR (it varies)mostly for SD & a spyderco delica SE for utility stuff.

Lately for me it's been either a SE Endura or a SE Military + a Leatherman Micra (PE, of course).

It's been a few months now and there's never - not once - been an instance where my SE blades did not handle a job well. The only time I found myself using the blade on the Micra was for sharpening one of my daughter's colored pencils at a restaurant Sunday.

I carry PE blades, but I always keep a Swisstool Spirit in my bag which has a nice serrated sheepfoot blade.

Yup:) Usually a PE is my user - typically a BM Mini-Grip and Delica 4. My SE is also a Delica 4. I have a larger Rescue 93mm in my Maxpedition for the big stuff.

Today the PE is a BM 530. Underrated knife IMO.
SE is a Delica 3.

PE is the user.

Also have a Cold Steel Mini Culloden
full serrated in my shoulder bag.
