I just received a hunting knife, stamped "Eddie Bauer" on the blade.
The blade is 5 1/4" long with a 5" antler handle. The sheath is stamped "Eddie Bauer model 525" on the back. I have spent many many hours on the internet and researching some recommended reference books; ie...Levine's and others, and have been unable to find anything on this knife. Does anybody have a clue? I had one person tell me it was made by Gerber in the early 70's. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.........

with knives marked Eddie Bauer wasn't very good. I picked up a little SAK style keychain knife with a light built into the handle. I wish I had kept the receipt. The light broke and one of the handle scales broke off the first day I had it on my keychain. YMMV

Frank,
Ive seen some of these at target, they are made in china and quality is ........not good. The one he's talking about seems to be of a different make. I do not know anything about these other this other knife only the cheap china ones.

Mark, I would post this on Levines, you will get better help there.

thanks for the ifo, I will try Levines....I am really getting
frustrated by this knife. BUT it has opened up a whole new world to me.

I knew I wasn't getting a hard use tool, but ONE day on my keychain? Sheesh! Now I've got a Micra on there. I know it wont fall apart. I might have to get a Jester to keep it company, though.
