Last week I crossed the border I decided to use my Sifu. But it was not sharp
(up to my standards).
I took spyderco out of box and noticed that edge angle was way larger than 20 degrees. Why? If I don't remember wrongly REKAT recommends sharpmaker. There is no reason to recommend sharpmaker and use angle that is over 20 degrees! ELUs like me just get @@@@ed off reangling the blade. I have used almost two hours to lover the angle but still have as much left (and the deeper I go the more metal I have to remove
).
I like Sifu and I intended to get carnivore but if I have to go through this again I'll not buy it (until I have forgotten how painful this sharpening was).
