I'm having problems, sharpening a CS Recon Scout,to be more precise, the part of the belly about two inches from the point, towards the
point. It seems that this part has a greater angle, so I'm not
touching the edge with my Spyderco Sharpmaker.
I'm thinking of getting a Project II or a Mark VI very soon. Do these
have a uniform edge angle ?

The CRK website recommends the Spyderco Sharpmaker. If using a traditional stone, they say sharpen with an 18-20 degree angle. Hope this helps.....

Just rec'd my Mountaineer II yesterday. Great knife. Haven't had a chance to dull it yet, nevertheless sharpen it. Their one piece knives are very well made, from what I can see.

thanks for the reply, but I wanted to know if a CRK has the same
angle on the entire lenght of the edge.

Yes, we do. Each blade is sharpened by hand, and there is quite a bit of practice involved in getting a constant angle, especially around the belly of the blade. It's another factor that contributes to that legendary cutting edge! :D
