Edge Angle Question for my Mud Warden

Hey People,

I'm a low budget hog with just one Busse, a Mud Warden. I'm considering reprofiling my Warden at a narrower angle for EDC. I won't be putting too much stress on it on a regular basis, but I may end up battoning it or throwing it every so often just because it is INFI and I won't feel that I got my money's worth unless I try to abuse it at least a little. A couple of questions for you guys/gals:

-What's the smallest angle you've put on some INFI?
-What angle do you suggest for Skeleton Wardens?

with my wardens i have had the best luck with sandpaper and a steel rod, although i dont have a muddy gw, i imagine the profile is the same. i have thin wardens and fat wardens and normally use the same method.

the spyderco sharpmaker also works well.

i have no way of measuring any angle changes that have occurred during sharpening.

But you did thin the edges out? Did it take long to grind it down? I found mine to be a lot thicker than I care for in an EDC. Thanks for the input.

I'm not sure this will answer all your questions --- but i did thin mine down significantly and love it. I can't measure it either, but it's very close to a zero edge now.

I actually did it while polishing the blade, so it took a while. But my goal was polishing, not sharpening -- changing the edge was a nice secondary affect.

Someone with more knowledge will be along shortly...

on my orange the edge was thinned a bit as a secondary effect of the extra sharpening. no where near a zero edge, but definitely more acute than factory.

the muddys are among the thicker gw's, all around. the oj, smog, and reds are all thinner stock.
