Edge Brand #469 Bowie quality

Okay, found lots of historical information on these old knives, but I'm curious as to who has used one. Big, thick, heavy carbon steel blades---was the HT decent? Overall build quality rugged enough for field knife use, or better as a wall hanger? I know they were part of the Gutmann group, whose quality ran the gambit from pretty good to very good, so basically...where in that range did these fall?
