Edge Brand Solingen #50 Germany

I have an Edge Brand knife #50 made in Germany that I bought from a friend who said he has had the knife in World War 11. The knife has a bone handle with fixed 3.5 inch blade. Can anyone tell me something about Edge Brand Knives and maybe the history and dates of the #50 Edge Brand Knife?

I'm pretty sure that Edge Brand was a mark used by Gutmann Cutlery, starting around 1950, so this is probably not a WWII era knife. Ask this on Bernard Levine's forum for a definitive answer (and post pictures before he asks you to).
