I either make a cover with cardboard or buy plastic edge covers from Amazon, does anyone know where I can buy them more than two at a time, and more usable sizes? Thank you gentlemen

Something I’ve been using, really only covers the edge not the whole blade, is this stuff called trim-lok I think it’s meant for sharp sheet metal edges and whatnot but works well for this comes in 25ft rolls there’s all sorts of variations I believe I have the 1/16” with dual gripping fingers.

I've been buying guards for kitchen knives from chefknivestogo.com for a while. They're quite nice, felt lined, available in sizes from 3.75" to 11.75", and can be cut down for intermediate length knives. They're only $2 each when you buy 10-packs and $3-4 each when purchased individually.

Here's a link to a multipack of their 8" covers:

Yep, I get mine from usaknifemaker in the 18" versions... Gives me the ability to trim to size and they are pretty cheap. They are out of their variety pack now but would probably have an idea when they will get more in if you were to call...

Thanks for the link. I just placed an order for the 10 pack. At $2/ea that's cheaper than I can make a heated form fitting kydex cover.

I don't think the covers will bend. I think they're just as you see them, slide finished knife edge into cover for protection of edge and sides of blade. Those are for folks who just toss knives into a drawer because they don't have knife blocks for knife storage. They also look good when folks receive the knife - gives them a professional look.

The trim-lok stuff does conform to the edge as it’s basically a strip but arguably looks less professional.
