If you read my post on this subject, you may remember I wondered out loud if the "new" harder blade was better at edge holding than the "older" HT.
Well I did my own heat treat, rather than send it in to a HT provider. I just didn't want to part with beloved Micarta Insingo for a month or more. I was pretty sure I could do it because I've done hundreds of blades of my own.
There was a bit of pause of course, this is a Sebenza after all.
It's been carried and used for more than a couple of weeks now. I used it as I always do and can say for sure, I like the edge holding better, and have to use the Sharpmaker less. The difference is not dramatic, but I would do it again.
I put a satin hand sand finish on the blade. :thumbup:I got to get another one of these Insingos, CF perhaps.
