Edge Pro Issues

I've attempted sharping my Benchmade Mini Griptilian on the Edge Pro several times... and gave up each of them. Getting the blade positioned on the table correctly (so the tip/belly area doesn't literally remain on the table) has so far proved impossible (even when adjusting the guide drastically). Any ideas on this one?

Take the thumbstuds off? Situations like this require slowing way down and making sure your swipes are steady and concentrating on the edge. If you aren't able to match the edge similarly on both sides, try repositioning the blade so that it will be easy for hold the same angle in either hand.

The thumb studs come off? Didn't know that. And thanks for the help.
