Edge Pro Shapton Stones

Hello Everyone.

I picked up an edge pro essentials kit a few months ago. I've been using the shapton 500, 1000 and 4000 stones to easily get my knives shaving sharp. However, I'm looking to take it one step further. Would the 8k shapton be a good addition to my kit? Would I be able to see a noticeable difference compared to the 4k that I have now?

I'm working with good quality steels (s30v, d2,m390, vg10)

If you can afford it, get the 2k, 8k, and 16k stones as well as a nano cloth strop with a .5 micron cbn emulsion. You will be pleased with the results
