Hello Guys! Anyone out there have a EDGE PRO Sharpener,if so how do you like it,and does it work for ya? RAMBO

I have one.

I put off buying one for about a year and a half because it was about $200 and I already got *decent* results with my sharpmaker. But caved in a few weeks ago and finally bought the edge pro.

Knowing what I do now, I wish I had bought one long ago. After about 30 mins of experimenting and figuring out the system I had my beater SMF sharper than any knife I have ever owned. Like shaves hair without touching the skin sharp.

The $200 investment has exponentially increased the value of all my knives. I put off buying it for so long because there was always a knife I would have rather had with the $$, but now after owning it I would much rather have the edge pro than any $200 knife.

I had an Edge-Pro APEX, and liked it so well, that I gave it to my son and bought the Professional model! :p

Best $350 I ever spent!

But in all honesty, the $200 APEX will do anything that the $350 PRO will do, it just isn't quite as convenient to use. ;)

I have both the Pro and the Apex, They are both professional systems, work very well.
They come with great support, any questions or problems just call the maker.
The owner (Ben) usually answers the phone, he seems to have made sharpening his life, he is pleasant, and knowledgeable.
I have had most of the other sharpening tools (Wicked Edge Tru-Hone, water stones)I prefer the Edge Pro, but the Apex is small and I carry it in the car.

I have never thought that the Edge-Pro or the Apex were over priced, they are quality made. They are a tool for a life time.

My edgepro has taught me more about sharpening than just about anything else. It made me better on bench stones, and I can get an edge hair whittling sharp in no time. I love it!

I use an EdgePro because it puts the very best edge on any steel at any angle I need, quickly and easily. It's not the only system I use, but it certainly produces the best results. When used correctly and with the proper materials, you don't have to finish with a scratch pattern; you can finish with a mirror. Quickly and easily.

Samurai in ancient Japan used EdgePro for their swords...
Eric the Red used an EdgePro for his battle ax
The guillotine used during the French Revolution was sharpened with an EdgePro
The Cyclotron at CERES is sharpened with an EdgePro so as to split atoms
My Mother-in-Law sharpens her tongue with an EdgePro
and maybe... just maybe... EdgePro is what makes old Cheddar so sharp!

We have the same mother in law! We must have married sisters.

In any event, you left the big question unanswered. Will it sharpen Rosta Frei?

I put off buying an EP because I figured I could find or make my own rig for cheaper. Well, after using or buying just about every sharpening jig out there I gave in and bought an EP. I'll save you the heartache I went thru........ just buy it. It puts the best edge on my knives that I've ever gotten. 100%, honest to God, and I'm in no way connected to the inventor of the EP. It's the best.
