I have a Apex edge pro and have been reprofiling my knives which has really eaten up my 120 grit stone. I saw a thread where someone was using silicon carbide 4x1x.25" stone glued to a blank for reprofiling. Could someone provide a link or a source where I could get a couple of these stones?

If you go to www.congresstools.com , you can get 1" x 6" x 0.125" stones (and many other shapes) in lots of grits in both silicon carbide and aluminum oxide.

Thom what stones from congress tools have you found to have the best combination of cutting ability and wear? I'm looking to buy some different stones for my edge pro and right now I'm leaning towards the ruby 60 or 80 grit.

cbwx34 did a great study on which does what. I've used the 80 grit ruby stone and like it lots and didn't like the 60 grit at all.
