Hi everyone,

As I was sharpening a knife today on Edge Pro, the stone (120 grit) unglued from its base . It was a barely used stone, almost brand new. Considering I payed over $200 for Edge Pro I am very disappointed. How can I fix it?

Thanks

3M77 spray,,, spray both the blank and the stone (if you spray just one side, they won't stick together very long.), let it sit for a bit, then press together. Make sure it's lined up before they touch, cause once they do, it's pretty much stuck.

Send Ben Dale an email and ask for a replacement or you could epoxy it and clamp it for 24 hours, I've done that with Lansky stones, never had a edge pro stone fail and I've had my kit for 10+ years.

Second this.

I have the same thing happen twice, once on the 120 grit and again on the 220 grit. I think it was because I used to store them in water.

I don't store them in water, but prior to use I submerge them in water and then use them.

Anyhow, I heard back from Benton Dale and he explained that they use 3M77 and I should use that too or use epoxy if I want to permanently stick the stone to the blank. As I live in South East Europe and I couldn't find 3M77 I just used epoxy and its fine now.

Thank you all for your help.
