Edge retention test

I am thinking about doing an edge retention test on a couple cheap clone knives vs the actual name brand knife. I have seen the rope cutting on a board and cutting cardboard. Is there anything you folks would want to see. These are smaller pocket knives

Since we don't promote knockoffs and clones on this site, (nor their sale), I'd prefer for any such to remain nameless and to be referred to in a generic fashion which doesn't identify them specifically.

I will not say where I found it. There is no name on the knife. I am hoping to see how bad it is compared to the actual brand. If you want me to PM you the details, .I would be more than happy to do so. I have also already sent the purchase link to the patent holder.

Best to just discuss and report your results without providing any detailed images of the counterfeit piece...as doing so would help those who might be inclined to identify it, or its origin.

It's really only the results that matter.

Thank you.

I won't be posting any pictures of it on this website. I am doing a video of it, but I am sending it to the patent holder prior to publishing it. I have also offered to send it to the patent holder once I am done.

I am also planning on testing some other knives that are produced in different steels, and an older version of a knife compared to a newer version purchased after the sale of a company due to quality control claims. I am not cross posting there videos here without express permission from Spark or a moderator. I am just coming here for different ideas other that cutting cardboard and cutting rope on a cutting board.
