Hey, folks, the ESEE 4 is tempting me. One thing that may help swing me is the edge thickness. Can anyone put a mic on the edge and tell me how thick it is right behind the bevel? I tend to prefer edges on the thin side. Yes, I can modify to suit my taste, but if it starts out very thick that becomes problematic.

I'd be curious to know this too, but was wondering if anyone with a 30 degree inclusive edge bevel could do it as well.

I can make a side by side photo from the izula and the 4.
What are you going to use it for? For bushcraft or edc 30 degree (as in 15 pers side i assume), it probably wont last very long.

edit; side by side photo. Izzy and a 4, doesnt seem really useful though

Hey Don, I don't have a mic, but I got an ESEE4 you can borrow to see if you like it or not. Its been slightly modded (on the spine), and stripped, but for the most part its within spec. Give me a shout and I'll meet up and you can try it out. Moose

Thanks, that helps.

Moose - I may have to do that, although I don't know when I would be able to in the near future.

Just give me a shout when your in Ktown, or I'll holler at you when I'm in Oak Ridge. Moose
