Edge update on my new Vantage Pro

I was a little unimpressed with the edge on the Vantage Pro I just bought.

Surprised me too, as I've been very happy with the factory edges on every other Buck I've ever had. The last 110 I bought came sharper than any I've seen besides my Gene Ingram.

About 20 minutes on the Lansky got it looking great. I'm trying to justify an Edge Pro, or just manning up and getting good freehand, but the Lansky has served me pretty well.

I bought this one to replace one of my favorite folders of all time, a Kershaw Gentleman's folder that was stolen. Wish I could find another...

Anyway, now it'll be 2 Bucks for a while. I've carried this cheapo Mini Trapper everyday since my wife gave it to me in 2006. It's not much more than a fingernail cleaner and snuff can opener, but it'd kill me to lose it I've carried it so long.

Very nice! The Vantage Pro is one of my favorite Buck models. It's always nice to get a sharp knife but if you're gonna use it you're gonna have to sharpen it anyway. I've got a diamond Lansky set up but my Sharpmaker is what I use the most. So easy even a caveman can do it.
