I have my second balisong from many years ago (about 11). I even have the box. The first was confiscated....
The brand is EdgeMark, a product of Gulmann Cutlery Inc, Mt. Vernon, NY 10550 made in Japan.
The box labels it as 440 series steel with a stainless steel handle. It seems to have a brass latch and liners.
The blade is stamped DRAGON-LOCK 11-474/H STAINLESS JAPAN. The box also carries the 11-474/H, apparently as a model number.
It's not a great knife, but at the time it was a decent quality butterfly compared to the still popular junk butterfly knives.
It has finally started to pick up a little wobble in the pins between the handle and blade.
Is anything known about this brand and knife? Just curious about this knife. It's the oldest knife I still own. I think I paid about $35 for it.
