Hi There,
I was measuring the yellow mark on my Edge pro Apex yesterday and found the angle is 30 degrees and not 21 as measured from the blade table! This would make a difference on the angle at which I would hold the blade on the ceramic steel if I took the measurement on the Apex for being correct.

I know the marks are just for reference but it seems to me for the price I paid for it these marks should at least be placed in the correct places for the price I paid for this machine.

the instruction book says the yellow mark is 21 degrees.

Any comments out there?

I am betting that the rod has not dropped all the way down. I have done that before. Mine, if seated correctly, is within reason. Steven

Also keep in mind that the angles quoted are for the blade table to the arm.
So if you have a tapered flat ground blade resting on the blade table and you set your angle to 15° ( example) , the edge angle actually sharpened will be closer to 13°.
In your case, I think the main problem is the rod not seated in its base.
