Edgepro on Dozier

First let me say hi. I've been lurking for some time and finally upgraded my hunting knives so now I need some advise. I bought a Dozier KS-3 and a K-16. I think these will be great additions to my equiptment.

I never learned to sharpen freehand so my knives where always marginal. Then I found Edgepro and have had sharp knives ever since. My question is when sharpening Dozier D2 what Edgepro stone should I go up to. I'm looking for a edge similar to the factory original edge.

On Dozier's own forum he once said they sharpen on a 120 grit belt the first time, and then use DMT diamond stones thereafter. Medium fine stone first, finish with the fine. He leaves the edge toothy. Hopefully that will give you some guidance but I don't know if an edgepro will do exactly that.

I don't usually go above the 220 stone on most of my work knives.
