To make it official, all of Outdoor Edge's hi-tech, modern design folding knives will now be marketed under the trademark name "EdgeTech" or "ET" for short.

Outdoor Edge has been producing quality hunting and outdoor cutting tools for eleven years now. Outside of BladeForums and the dedicated knife community we are relatively unknown for our latest custom collaborated folders. The Impulse and Magna represent our first introductions to this market. We are quite pleased with the quality achieved on these new models as well as the response from the knife community. We are now committed to further develop a full line of folding and fixed blade cutting tools under the EdgeTech brand. The focus for ET is to offer high quality products based on proven designs from several of today’s most talented and renowned custom knife makers. All ET products are priced to offer great consumer value, warranteed, and backed by reliable customer service.

We feel today’s hi-tech knife consumer will better identify our latest products using the EdgeTech brand name. At the same time we will continue to produce and further develop the Outdoor Edge line of hunting and outdoor products.

As always we welcome your feedback and comments regarding this latest marketing decision. BladeForums is a specialized group of knife enthusiasts. As president of a production knife company, your feedback is always highly regarded and on many occasions has proved invaluable to me.

We thank you for your attention and support of Outdoor Edge/EdgeTech and wish all the best throughout 2000 and beyond.

Hmm... sounds good to me. Outdoor Edge seems to be one of the few companies who use real forethought in their marketing strategies. I'm sure you'll be successful in this new venture.

Good luck. After getting your Impulse I can't wait to see what you at OE/ET come up with next.

David, I responded in your thread announcing the Winner(s) of Name a new knife co.
Can you make a reply?
"David all kidding aside, I wish you great success wiht your new endeavor. If I could make a suggestion, how about offering "First Production Runs" of your new designs to BladeForum members through the BF Store? It would be a very nice way of helping the Forums, and be a little "perk" to us Members.
What do you think?"
Is there any chance of this happening? I think it would be great for everyone, the Members, BlabeForums, and Edge Tech.

To Phill:

Funny you mentioned that. Yes, I did see your post and forgot to address this when I responded that Mickey77 was a winner. After I did so and turned off my computer I thought, Hey! I forgot to answer Phill's question. Since you guys from New Yawk can be pretty persistant I won't bother ducking the issue any longer.

Yes this is a great idea and we would be interested to offer this. We only sell wholesale so I'll run this by Mike T and see if he is interested to offer first production run ET releases in the BF Store.

Thanks for bringing this up.

Thank you David, I hope Mike goes for the idea. I would love to own a "Cosmos" First Production Run, and helping to support BladeForums at the same time would make it just that much better.
